How to distinguish between screw air compressor and piston air compressor?
screw air compressor and piston air compressor can be said to be the two models with a high market share of air compressors. In the past, piston air compressors were basically used. In recent years, with the characteristics of screw air compressors, they have gradually replaced piston air compressors and become the mainstream of the air compressor market. So, what is the difference between a piston air compressor and a screw air compressor?
I. Structure and working principle.
1. Piston oil-free lubricated air compressor.
piston oil-free air compressor consists of a compressor host, a cooling system, a regulating system, a lubrication system, a safety valve, a motor and control equipment. The compressor and motor are bolted to the base, and the base is fastened with anchor bolts. When working, the motor directly drives the crankshaft through the coupling, drives the connecting rod, crosshead and piston rod, so that the piston reciprocates in the compressor cylinder to complete the process of suction, compression, discharge and so on. The machine is a double-acting compressor, that is, the piston moves up and down with air suction, compression and discharge.
2. Screw air compressor. The
screw air compressor consists of a screw head, a motor, an oil-air separation barrel, a cooling system, an air conditioning system, a lubrication system, a safety valve and a control system. The whole machine is installed in a box, self-contained, directly placed on a flat cement floor, and does not need to be fixed with anchor bolts. The screw head is a biaxial volumetric rotary compression head. When working, the motor is directly connected to the main rotor through the coupling (or belt). Since the rotors mesh with each other, the main rotor directly drives the auxiliary rotor to rotate together. The coolant is directly injected into the rotor meshing part through the nozzle at the lower part of the compressor housing, mixed with the air, and takes away the heat generated by compression to achieve the cooling effect. At the same time, a liquid film is formed to prevent direct metal-to-metal contact between the rotor and to close the gap between the rotor and the housing. The injected coolant also reduces the noise generated by high-speed compression.
2. Features.
1. Piston oil-free lubricated air compressor. < br /> oil-free air compressor cylinder piston rings and packing device packing device are made of PTFE with self-lubricating properties as sealing elements. As a result, cylinders and packing units do not need to be lubricated with oil. Under normal circumstances, the compressed gas is basically pure, no oil pollution, and there is no need to add an oil removal device. The disadvantages of this machine are high motor power, unstable exhaust pressure, high exhaust temperature, high noise, large maintenance workload and high maintenance cost.
2. Screw air compressor.
screw air compressor with the coordination between the yin and yang rotors reduces gas backflow leakage and improves efficiency; Only the rotors mesh with each other, and there is no cylinder reciprocating motion, which reduces vibration and noise sources. The unique lubrication method has the following advantages: continuous injection of coolant into the compression chamber and bearings, simplifying the complex mechanical structure; Injection of coolant can form a liquid film between the rotor, and the auxiliary rotor can be driven directly by the main rotor, eliminating the need for high-precision synchronous gears; Injection of coolant increases air tightness, reduces noise from high-frequency compression, and absorbs a large amount of compression heat. Therefore, the screw air compressor has the advantages of low vibration, no anchor bolt fixing, low motor power, low noise, high efficiency, stable exhaust pressure, and no wearing parts.
